Rugby Dawgs Help Clean Up Athens

As members of the Athens community, the UGA Rugby Club takes pride in being able to not only represent UGA on the field, but also give back to the community that we play for. This week we were able to work with Keep Athens-Clarke County Beautiful to help clean up litter and trash along the streets of Athens. KACCB is a nonprofit 501c3 organization whose mission is to “educate and empower citizens and businesses with the resources to take action as environmental stewards of litter prevention, waste reduction, and beautification.” The team arrived at Hancock Road near the Athens-Ben Epps Airport Saturday Morning and cleared the street of any litter and trash dumped along the side of the road. The players can attest to the fact that it is not only a good sentiment to give back to the community, but also valuable character building for the players on the team who are developing into outstanding young individuals. Thank you Keep Athens-Clarke County Beautiful for the opportunity to better our community!
