FOOD2KIDS Community Service

The Dawgs took a break from their busy spring schedule to donate their time and energy to support the FOOD2KIDS project organized by the Food Bank of Northeast Georgia. During the day dedicated to community service, our players worked on packaging, organizing and distributing much needed food to the children in the community.

The FOOD2KIDS program aims to bridge the weekly weekend hunger gap by providing free sacks of child friendly and child specific foods that are easy to open, nutritious, and do not require any cooking. Our Food 2 Kids program provides approximately six meals and two snacks each weekend that school is in session (40 weeks) to previously identified school children in Banks, Barrow, Clarke, Habersham, Hart, Jackson, Madison, Oglethorpe, Rabun, White, and Stephens counties.

What a wonderful way to spend a day off from training. Great job guys!
