We have done the paperwork to have the University operate an endowment for us. The way it works is we have to raise $25,000 by April, 2010. Once we do that the University will take over running it, which means they will invest it and we will be able to use some of the interest for the club while the principal grows. Several of the better clubs around the country have large endowments that allow them to have the equipment they need as well as to pay coaches and pay for travel.
Current Balance $2,797.25 (as of March 21, 2008)
We still need to raise $22,202!
