Clemson 27 UGA 21

This was a 60 minute game as the final of the GRU tournament. Clemson beat Auburn 22-10 and Georgia Tech 40-19 in their earlier games.

After some back and forth play Clemson took a 12-0 lead on tries in the 14th and 23rd minutes, both off of messy play by our backline. In the 28th minute Sean went 40 meters through the centers to make it 12-7. We committed a silly penalty on the last play of the first half and Clemson converted to make it 15-7 at half.

In the second half Michael Thompson scored a try in the 38th minute after several phases on the goal line, we converted to make it 15-14 Clemson. 5 minutes later Ryan Cook grubbered and Sean picked it up and went 70 meters to take a 21-15 lead. Clemson scored an unconverted try in the 47th minute after multiple phases on the goal line. Michael Thompson was sin binned in the 63rd minute for diving over a ruck. On the last play of the game Clemson took a missed touch finder and scored in the far corner for the 27-21 win.
