This weekend we went up to Chapel Hill to play a tough UNC side. We had worked on our defense a lot in the past week after a poor showing against Tennessee.
And we did defend a lot better, but we were simply unable to get posession of the ball. When we did get the ball we couldn't keep it. UNC's pack played extremely well. They were strong, mobile, and skilled. My best guess is that we had the ball for less than 5 minutes of the game. Given that, I was thrilled with how the team played. It's not easy to still be tackling hard when you're down 70 points and have been tackling for the past hour, but we did. I am very proud of the effort the guys put out up there.
Our 6 points came from 2 first half penalties kicked by Chris Snare.

This was a good solid game, cleaner than most B-side games. We were strong in the set pieces and did some good things in attack. I don't remember all 3 of our tries but I do remember Gavin (who weighs just about forty pounds) taking it all by himself through a couple of presumably surprised defenders and touching down for a try.
We played this one tough despite being pretty tired from most of the guys having played in the first game. We were up 15-10 but UNC put in 2 tries in the last 20 minutes to come back and win it.
