One touch, one try from Brian Lake

After yet another week of miserable weather and lack of practice time we had a beautiful Saturday for the game. We started well, with Chris Snare hitting a penalty kick in the first few minutes for a 3-0 lead. MTSU then put their stamp on the game with some strong runs. MTSU scored 3 tries before we scored again, a quick tapped penalty by Brian Sanders who hit Charles Luke in support for the try. Chris Snare converted to make the score 19-10.

MTSU kept putting in the hard runs and scored another try before we scored our second, also off a quick tap penalty. Brian Sanders chipped over the defense into the try zone where a MTSU player lost control of it and Brian Lake grabbed it and touched down in the corner. We missed the conversion.

In the second half our defense improved considerably and most of the scoring stopped. MTSU scored one try and had another called back for reasons which still aren't real clear to me. The final score was 36-15.
