This was a Thursday night game at High Country's new pitch in Washington Park, we got started around 7:30 pm.

The game was marked by slow ball at the breakdown as high country was slow at moving away from the ball on the ground and by poor support by UGA. Our support was slow and individual rather than quick and in numbers, which made sustained attack difficult. Our backs did a good job of tackling.

Both teams scored two tries, with High Country converting both and UGA converting one.

There were a couple of incidents that have unfortunately become typical of games against mens clubs. We were very pleased at how our guys responded and handled some nasty situations well.

This game was definitely a learning experience, but the lessons weren't the ones we needed or wanted to learn.

UGA 19 - High Country 12

We played two 25 minute halves for this one. The game was marked by High country kicking a lot and us trying to deal with it. It was a very sloppy game and the packs would've been exhausted from scrumming down... except the scrums were static.
